ABSTRACT
Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever was first reported in Toroh district in 1974 and since then it was almost spread out into the entire district of Grobogan regency. In 1999, Klambu district was out of 19 districts in Grobogan known as non endemic area. The entomological observation to obtain larval indices; ovitrap index and resting index were conducted both in Purwodadi district (endemic area) and district of Klambu (non endemic area) and the kind of domestic water container. Generally the three indices in Klambu relatively lower than in Purwodadi. However, Klambu could be indicated as dengue-sensitive area based on WHO criteria for a House Index (BI) and/or a Breteau Index (BI) value that greater than 5% and 20 respectively. The domestic water container such as bathing water container (bak mandi) and water jar (tempayan) were predominant in Purwodadi and Klambu respectively.
