The tree planting activity conducted by Universitas YARSI on World Environment Day aligns with the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across several key points: Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production by promoting sustainable practices in natural resource management and increasing awareness about the environmental impacts of every institutional activity; Goal 13: Climate Action through tree planting that directly contributes to carbon dioxide absorption and greenhouse gas emission reduction, and increases ecosystem adaptation capacity to the impacts of climate change; Goal 15: Life on Land by restoring and enhancing terrestrial ecosystems through reforestation activities, protecting and promoting sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, managing forests sustainably, and combating land degradation; and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals through collective mobilization of Universitas YARSI academic community in environmental activities, integrating environmental commitment as part of institutional identity and values, and demonstrating the role of higher education institutions as change agents in encouraging society to take concrete action in maintaining environmental sustainability. This activity also reinforces the message of World Environment Day 2026 about the importance of collective action and shared responsibility in protecting our planet for the well-being of all living beings.

The television media speaker activity conducted by the Head of the Postgraduate Program of Universitas YARSI aligns with the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across several key points: Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being by providing accurate health education and information to the wider public about the Nipah virus and its transmission dangers, increasing public awareness about zoonotic diseases that can threaten human health, and promoting prevention efforts and preparedness in facing potential emerging infectious disease outbreaks; Goal 4: Quality Education through dissemination of scientific knowledge from academicians to the wider public through accessible mass media, providing evidence-based understanding of epidemiology and communicable disease control; Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals through collaboration between higher education institutions (Universitas YARSI) and mass media (SINDONews TV) in spreading credible, science-based health information to society, and supporting government efforts in surveillance and preparedness for public health threats. Prof. Tjandra Yoga Aditama’s contribution also aligns with Goal 15: Life on Land by increasing awareness about the importance of maintaining ecosystem balance and safe interactions between humans and wildlife to prevent the spread of zoonotic diseases that can threaten human health and environmental sustainability.
