Presenting Student Work on AI, IoT and Mobile Applications, FTI Holds an Exhibition

The Information Technology Study Program (IT Prodi) Exhibition at Yarsi University was a success. The celebration was attended by many visitors from various faculties, study programs (Prodi), educational staff and the Yarsi Foundation.

Head of the Information Technology Study Program at Yarsi University, Elan Suherlan, S.Si, M.Si, explained that the event was held to showcase the products created by student teams while taking part in the specialization track in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 Academic Year.

There are 3 specialization tracks, the first is the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Development Track, the second is the Internet of Things (IoT) Development Track and the third is the Mobile Application Development Track

These three tracks are held because the IT Study Program has 3 active competency laboratories implementing the curriculum, namely the AI ​​laboratory, the second is the RPL laboratory (software engineering or application engineering) and the third is the networking or HPC laboratory ( high performance computing). IoT is managed by the HPC laboratory while mobile applications are included in the RPL laboratory.

The aim of the exhibition is to train and foster students' pride in completing project-based learning activities and producing work according to client requirements.

Likewise, the use of smartphones as mobile applications cannot be separated from people's lives today, starting from households, education, hospitals, business, health to government services. "Meanwhile, the application of IoT supported by the internet and the two previous technologies is of course widely used in today's modern society." Meanwhile, the Chancellor of Yarsi University, Prof.dr. Fasli Jalal, Ph.D congratulated the IT Study Program and the committee for carrying out this positive event. Next time, a similar exhibition must be even bigger, inviting many work partners and rectors who are committed to supporting it.
