On July 5, 2025, students from the Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) successfully achieved outstanding performance in the 5th International Dental E-Quiz 2025 organized by the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). The International Dental E-Quiz is an annual program organized by the Kulliyyah of Dentistry and Dental Students’ Society (DENSS) of the International Islamic University Malaysia. This program aims to encourage healthy competition while establishing amicable bonds with dental institutions worldwide. The competition enhances participants’ knowledge in Basic Medical Sciences and General Dentistry. Furthermore, the clinical competencies of participants are also assessed through Modified Essay Questions (MEQ) based on case studies.
The selection stages of this competition not only evaluate participants’ knowledge but also their communication skills and case analysis abilities. This achievement aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 4 (Quality Education). SDG 3 is demonstrated through the competition’s focus on medical sciences, which encourages participants to learn and promote healthy living practices. Meanwhile, SDG 4 is exemplified by the development of quality and inclusive human resources or students, fostering learning opportunities for all students. This international dental competition promotes the enhancement of dental education quality and prepares competent dental healthcare professionals, directly contributing to global public health improvement efforts.
