Display of Achmad Bakrie XXI Award 2025 in Health Field Inaugurated at Akper Yaspen Library

On November 18, 2025, a significant ceremony was held at the Library of Akper Yaspen (Nursing Academy of Yayasan Pendidikan Sanjay Kasih) to inaugurate the Display of the Achmad Bakrie XXI Award 2025 in Health Field, received by Prof. Tjandra Yoga Aditama, Director of Postgraduate Programs at Universitas YARSI. This initiative brought the prestigious national award directly to the academic field, demonstrating a commitment to inspiring the younger generation through tangible recognition of excellence. The event was attended by Mrs. Zoraya Perucha and representatives from Bakrie University, the Chair of the Indonesian Pulmonology Doctors Association (PDPI) Jakarta Branch, leadership of Yayasan Pendidikan Sanjay Kasih and RS Puri Medika, as well as the academic community of Akper Yaspen including faculty, students, and educational staff. The ceremony served three key purposes; first, to motivate students as the nation’s future generation to continuously improve their achievements for national development and potentially receive similar recognition in the future; second, to strategically position the display in the library as a symbol that books and library materials constitute fundamental capital for advancing science and technology; and third, to introduce the Achmad Bakrie Award to the broader public, recognizing that this prestigious award has been bestowed by the Achmad Bakrie Family since 2003 (nearly a quarter century) and has honored 96 recipients—92 individuals and 4 institutions/groups.

This initiative strongly aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4 on Quality Education, which emphasizes ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. By bringing national recognition into an educational institution and making it accessible to students, the display serves as an inspirational tool that demonstrates the tangible results of dedication to excellence in health sciences and education. The strategic placement in the library reinforces the importance of knowledge acquisition, research, and continuous learning as pathways to achievement and national contribution. Furthermore, this activity supports SDG Goal 3 on Good Health and Well-being by highlighting outstanding contributions in the health field, potentially inspiring future healthcare professionals to pursue excellence in medical research, clinical practice, and public health innovation. Prof. Tjandra’s suggestion that nearly 100 award recipients annually contribute written analyses in their respective fields demonstrates a commitment to knowledge sharing and capacity building that strengthens Indonesia’s intellectual capital. Through this initiative, Universitas YARSI and its affiliated institutions contribute to creating a culture of excellence, inspiring the next generation of health professionals, and building the human resources necessary for achieving Indonesia’s sustainable development goals and the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045.
