As part of the lead-up to the Faculty of Psychology’s Health Psychology Conference at YARSI University, an insightful session on the Digital Gender Divide was held, featuring Dr. Christina M. Antonites, Ph.D., from the University of Cape Town. Dr. Antonites discussed critical issues surrounding digital security and gender inequality, emphasizing the disproportionate impact on women and marginalized communities in digital spaces.
The event, which attracted 13-20 international participants, directly aligns with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 5: Gender Equality and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities. The session provided practical strategies to address digital gender disparities, contributing to global efforts in fostering a more inclusive and equitable digital future.
This session not only enriched participants’ understanding but also supported YARSI University’s accreditation efforts and strengthened its international collaborations. By addressing such global challenges and aligning with key SDGs, YARSI University continues to affirm its commitment to academic excellence, global engagement, and sustainable development.
