On Wednesday, July 8, 2026, Prof. Dr. Tjandra Yoga Aditama, Sp.P(K) (Health Expert and Director of Postgraduate School at Universitas YARSI) participated as an expert speaker in the “HOTROOM with Hotman Paris Hutapea” program broadcast live through Metro TV News at 21.05 WIB with the topic “Is There Intimidation in DR Icha’s Death?”. Prof. Tjandra’s presence as an epidemiology and public health expert reflects the urgency for academics and higher education institutions to actively engage in public dialogue about sensitive and strategic health issues. This program featured various speakers from different backgrounds, including Dr. Hamzah (Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Medical Association General Board), Irma Suryani Chaniago (Member of Commission IX of the Indonesian Parliament), Yosep Falentinus Delasalle (Regent of North Central Timor), and Fabianus Banase (Family Member), demonstrating the complexity of issues involving medical, legal, legislative, and social dimensions. Through participation in this public forum, Universitas YARSI demonstrated its commitment to providing objective and evidence-based scientific perspective on public health issues that require transparency, accountability, and protection for healthcare workers, while also encouraging constructive dialogue for improvement of the health system.
