The Center for Psychometrics, Research and Applied Health Psychology at the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas YARSI, organized a crucial training on LimeSurvey on Friday, November 21, 2025. This training was initiated to address the urgent need for psychology researchers to utilize professional, scientifically rigorous survey tools that meet academic research standards, moving beyond basic platforms that lack advanced features required for complex psychological studies. The training was led by Dr. Sunu Bagaskara and Putri Aisyah, S.Psi (graduate from 2011), and attended by 47 participants including students from the Psychology Research Group (KRisPi), undergraduate students preparing quantitative thesis proposals, and faculty members. The training method combined theoretical presentations on scientific survey concepts with hands-on practical sessions, teaching participants to utilize LimeSurvey’s advanced features including over 30 question types, data anonymity, question randomization, branching/conditional logic, automatic scoring through Expression Manager, and quota management for designing complex surveys and experimental research designs.

This training activity directly supports Sustainable Development Goal 4 on Quality Education, which emphasizes ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. By equipping students and faculty with advanced research methodology skills, the training enhances the quality of psychological research at Universitas YARSI, contributing to more rigorous and reliable scientific knowledge production. This also supports SDG Goal 3 on Good Health and Well-being by strengthening research capacity in health psychology, enabling more robust studies on mental health interventions, health behavior change, and community well-being. The skills gained enable researchers to conduct higher-quality studies that generate evidence-based insights for addressing psychological and health challenges in Indonesian communities. Through systematic capacity building in research methodology, Universitas YARSI develops competent psychology researchers who can produce scientific knowledge that informs policy, improves mental health services, and advances Indonesia’s progress toward achieving comprehensive sustainable development goals.
