YARSI University aims to produce graduates who master branches of sciences and/or technology to cater national and international interests and to increase the nation's competitiveness according to Islamic values. It also aims to equip graduates with university values, faculty contents and with the professionalism of the departments/study programs. Educational activities at YARSI University also emphasizes the development of students' potentials in order to become faithful human beings and pious to God Almighty; human beings with noble character who are healthy, knowledgeable, proficient, creative, independent, skillful, competent and cultured for the sake of the nation
As in other universities in general, the teaching and learning process at YARSI University is conducted through study programs in each faculty. Until now, as previously mentioned, YARSI University has five faculties, namely Faculty of Medicine which consists of General Medicine and Dentistry programs, Faculty of Economics which consists of Management and Accounting programs, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Information Technology which consists of Informatics Engineering and Library Science programs, and Faculty of Psychology. The Graduate School consists of Master of Management and Master of Notarial Law programs
The learning approach at YARSI University is interactive, holistic, integrative, scientific, contextual, thematic, effective, collaborative, and student-centered. The outcome is graduates who master the sciences and/or technologies to cater national and international interests and to increase the nation's competitiveness according to Islamic values. Every learning activity must adhere to student-centered learning approach in which the outcomes are achieved through a learning process that prioritizes the creativity, capacity, personality, and needs of the students. The learning activities must also develop independence in searching and finding knowledge so that students are highly-motivated and able to study independently and be responsible to enrich and develop their knowledge, skills, and attitude of their professions. The opted methods for the learning process are group discussion, simulation, case study, collaborative learning, cooperative learning, project-based learning, problem-based learning, or other methods, which can effectively facilitate the fulfillment of the learning outcomes of the graduatesstudent centered learning) where graduate learning outcomes are achieved through a learning process that prioritizes developing creativity, capacity, personality and student needs, as well as developing independence in seeking and finding knowledge so that students have high motivation and the ability to learn independently and are responsible for always enriching and developing knowledge and skills , and professional attitude.
