In November 14, 2025, The Faculty of Psychology at YARSI University is organizing a “Mental Health Self-help: Mindfulness Practice for Stress Release”. This activity is driven by the growing need for stress management among the academic community, especially amid increasingly complex academic demands. Unmanaged stress can negatively impact the mental health and productivity of both students and academic staff. To address this challenge, the Faculty of Psychology has invited Endang Fourianalistyawati, Ph.D., a psychologist, as a speaker who will guide participants in mindfulness practice. The implementation method is designed to be interactive and practical, where participants are asked to wear comfortable clothing and bring their own yoga mat or prayer mat for hands-on mindfulness exercises, allowing them to experience the benefits of these relaxation techniques optimally.
This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3 on Good Health and Well-being, which emphasizes the importance of mental health as an integral part of human well-being. Through mindfulness practice, participants are equipped with self-help skills that can be applied independently to manage stress, increase self-awareness, and improve quality of life. By providing the academic community with access to evidence-based mental health techniques, YARSI University contributes to building a holistically healthier campus community, both physically and mentally. This preventive approach through mental health education serves as a long-term investment in creating a resilient generation capable of facing life’s pressures more adaptively.
