57th Anniversary, Yarsi Must Become a Center for Learning, Inspiration and Playing a Role in TJSL

The role of Yarsi students in the Social and Environmental Responsibility Program (TJSL) is very important.

First, students can provide new ideas, innovations and creative solutions to increase the effectiveness and impact of the TJSL program. Second, students can also be involved in various TJSL programs, such as activities oriented towards developing community capacity in the form of providing skills training, technical assistance to increase production and social activities.

third, students as agents of social change, so that the TJSL program oriented towards cultural change and community development can achieve its goals. Fourth, competence and independence enable students to play a role in monitoring the implementation of various TJSL programs for State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).

Students play a role so that development can be sustainable and there is an increase in community welfare.

Assistant Deputy for Social and Environmental Responsibility at the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, Edi Eko Cahyono (Edi) stated to Usman from Kabar Yarsi Magazine, regarding TJSL and becoming a superior generation, yesterday.

According to Edi, the BUMN TJSL Program is almost five years old, prioritizing three areas according to the direction of the Minister of BUMN, namely: Education, Environment and Micro and Small Enterprises (UMK) Development.

The education sector is one of the concerns, creating quality and equitable education. according to the capacity and priorities of the BUMN. Several forms of benefits have been provided by TJSL BUMN, including scholarships and education funds, where BUMN provides financial assistance, for example given to students with special needs, in 3T areas, or students with achievements but who are financially less fortunate.

Then, education and training programs are needed for students to prepare to enter the world of work, such as entrepreneurship, technical skills and leadership. This program is provided considering that students are also expected to become entrepreneurs and become employed. "This is in line with BUMN's TJSL support for the development of MSEs," said Gadjah Mada University Postgraduate Alumnus.

There is another program collaboration between BUMN and universities, within the scope of Community Research and Development. implemented to help solve social and environmental problems in society, carried out in the BUMN TJSL program.

Not to be left behind, TJSL BUMN can contribute to the provision of facilities in universities, such as laboratories, libraries, student activity centers, and others.

Meanwhile, the Assistant Deputy related to TJSL at the Ministry of BUMN said that welcoming a Golden Indonesia, namely a sovereign, advanced, just and prosperous Indonesia, it is very necessary to prepare a superior and cultured generation. This golden era will encourage sustainable societal growth, BUMN has accelerated educational equality, encouraged the contribution of science and technology to contribute to development.

Then, education carried out by BUMN certainly boils down to quality, mastery of skills relevant to the needs of the times, as well as the formation of strong HR character (such as integrity, leadership, creativity, critical thinking and teamwork).

Through TJSL the education sector can continue to contribute in a sustainable manner, referring to the principles of integration, direction, measurability and accountability.

At the age of 57, so that Yarsi students can become part of a superior generation, education at Yarsi must be of higher quality, providing mastery of skills relevant to the needs of the times and the formation of strong human resource character. Don't forget that you must be equipped with awareness and the ability to face future social and environmental challenges, especially increasing social inclusion, reducing economic inequality, and mitigating the impacts of climate change and global warming.

Specifically, skills and entrepreneurship aspects are always strengthened to create economic opportunities for Yarsi students and the community

Apart from that, Yarsi contributes more to solutions to climate change through public awareness campaigns, mitigation measures, partnership programs, and the provision of information technology-based solutions, which need to be continuously encouraged.

Happy 57th Anniversary, I hope Yarsi University continues to be a center of learning and knowledge that inspires many people. continues to be a place to fight for academic excellence, the values of diversity, and social empowerment, as well as environmental awareness (usman)
