On 8 June 2026, Universitas YARSI welcomed Mr. Paweł Urgacz, Deputy Dean for Internationalization and Director of International Cooperation at WSB University, Poland. The visit was organized by the International Office of Universitas YARSI as part of the university’s commitment to strengthening international engagement and expanding global academic partnerships.
During the visit, representatives of Universitas YARSI and WSB University held a discussion regarding potential cooperation opportunities between the two institutions. The meeting explored various possibilities for future collaboration, including student mobility programs, academic exchanges, joint educational activities, and other international initiatives that could benefit students and faculty members from both universities. The discussion also provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on internationalization strategies and the development of sustainable academic partnerships.
The partnership discussion also built upon the existing collaboration between Universitas YARSI and WSB University, which has been ongoing since 2023. During the meeting, both institutions reflected on the positive outcomes of their cooperation, including the successful participation of Universitas YARSI staff in the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Programme. Building on this achievement, Universitas YARSI and WSB University agreed to jointly pursue a future Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) project, recognizing its potential to strengthen institutional development, internationalization, and academic innovation. The discussion also explored additional opportunities for collaboration through Erasmus+ initiatives, bilateral exchange activities, and international programs supported by WSB University, including funding opportunities available through national and regional cooperation schemes.
Another important point highlighted during the discussion was the strong institutional similarity between the two universities. As rapidly developing private universities with family-founded traditions and a strong commitment to educational excellence, Universitas YARSI and WSB University share common perspectives on innovation, sustainability, and long-term institutional growth. This shared vision creates a solid foundation for broader collaboration, including academic exchanges, joint research, capacity-building initiatives, internationalization strategies, student development programs, and the exchange of best practices in university management and governance.

As part of the visit, Mr. Urgacz participated in a podcast session entitled “Educating for a Better Future: Get a Crush on WSB University.” Hosted at Universitas YARSI’s podcast studio, the session introduced WSB University, one of Poland’s leading international universities, and highlighted various study opportunities available to international students. The discussion also provided insights into the Polish higher education system, student life, international learning experiences, and academic programs offered by WSB University, including opportunities in medicine, business, technology, and other fields.
Beyond introducing WSB University, the podcast focused on the theme of preparing students for future success in an increasingly global and dynamic world. Mr. Urgacz shared perspectives on the importance of resilience, effective learning strategies, concentration, problem-solving skills, communication abilities, creativity, and stress management as key competencies for academic and professional achievement. Drawing on research and real-life examples, the session emphasized that resilience and lifelong learning are essential qualities for students who aspire to thrive in an international environment and adapt to future challenges.
The visit concluded with a shared commitment to continue exploring opportunities for collaboration between Universitas YARSI and WSB University. Through initiatives such as institutional partnerships, international mobility, and knowledge exchange, both universities aim to contribute to the development of globally minded graduates who are prepared to make meaningful contributions to society.
