YARSI University achieved remarkable accomplishments through its delegation of students from the Faculty of Information Technology (FTI) who participated in the PRAGMA 41 Student Hackathon, part of PRAGMA x CENTRA x Hackathon SEAIP Thailand 2026 at Thammasat University, Pathumthani, Thailand on January 8–10, 2026. This event was attended by students from various countries competing to develop innovative technology-based solutions. The hackathon implementation method applied an intensive three-day collaboration system, where participants worked in teams to design and implement technology projects addressing global issues. As a result, the YARSI University delegation successfully won 5 international awards across two main topics: AI for Health Innovation and Smart Solutions for Climate Resilience and Sustainability, proving student competence in delivering relevant and impactful technological innovations.
This achievement aligns with several SDGs points, particularly point 3 on Good Health and Well-being through AI innovation for health, point 13 on Climate Action through climate resilience and sustainability solutions, and point 17 on Partnerships for the Goals through cross-country collaboration in addressing global challenges. The success of YARSI University students at this international event demonstrates the tangible contribution of Indonesian higher education in supporting the global sustainable development agenda. The ability to collaborate with students from various countries and produce innovative technology-based solutions strengthens YARSI University’s position as an educational institution committed to producing quality graduates ready to compete on the international stage.
